FRANCE – Newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron announced that he has chosen 46 year-old Edouard Philippe, a young centre-right mayor on his first full day in office on Monday as the new Prime Minister of France.

Edouard Philippe, a lawyer will takeover for Bernard Cazeneuve. He served as the director of public affairs for the state nuclear group Areva between 2007 and 2010, before becoming a member of parliament in 2012, and then mayor of Le Havre in 2014.
