ATLANTA, Georgia – Last Weekend, thousands of music lovers invaded Atlanta for the first-ever ‘A-Town Music Fest. Held at the famous Wolf Creek Amphitheater, this festival highlighted some of the artists that helped shape the sound of Southern Hip Hop and put ATL on the map. Dungeon Family’s own, KP The Great, controlled the vibes in between each act and kept the energy at an all time high DJing for his DF brothers, The Goodie Mob.
Towards the end of the night, KP The Great surprised the crowd with a true Atlanta special guest DJ set. ScottyATL introduced the set with his song “Cloud IX” which set the tone. KP hit the ATL crowd with a barrage of Atlanta hits and then David Banner hit the stage, performing music from his acclaimed album, “#TheGodBox”, as well as his classic hit “Like A Pimp”. The Dream followed, who performed his hit records “I Luv Your Girl” and “Rockin’ That Thang” which had all the ladies singing to every word. KP The Great transitioned from that song to Crime Mob’s set, who performed smash hits “Stilettos”, “Rock Yo Hips” and “Knuck if You Buck”, which had the entire crowd on their feet.
To end his Atlanta set, KP The Great did a special Shawty Lo tribute for the fallen rapper, whose life ended tragically this year. As the tribute was closing, none other than T.I., the King of the South. T.I., ran out to close out the set. T.I., who was celebrating the 14th birthday of Trap Muzik, gave his fans an impromptu show, performing classics like “24’s”, “You Don’t Know Me” and ending on a high note with “Rubberband Man” with Banner joining him on stage. “These artists I brought out for the show have all contributed and shaped Atlanta music. Each of them are unique and have made a major impact to the music industry. Big thanks to my brothers Tip, Banner, Dream and ScottyATL and Crime Mob for helping to make history tonight”, KP The Great stated.
