SOLNA, Sweden — Swedish Striker Marcus Berg scored four goals to help keep Sweden’s hope of automatic qualification alive for the World Cup by demoralizing Luxembourg 8-0 on Saturday. The victory, marked Sweden’s biggest World Cup qualifying win, since a 7-0 win against Malta in 1974 and 2002.

The victory in Europe Group A moved Sweden two points clear of France in top spot. Sweden will face the Netherland’s in their next match.
