DETROIT, Michigan — The city of Detroit received positive news as Google announced Monday that it has signed a lease to move into office space located next to the newly opened Little Caesars Arena.
“Google has officially signed a lease for new office space on East Henry Street alongside the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The city of Detroit has a rich history of culture and innovation, and we’re excited to be a part of its world class talent and world class companies, ” said Danielle Russell and Guy Schueller, Co-Site Leads for Google Birmingham via a press release issued by the company. “Our new space will not only provide room for future growth, but will also give us the opportunity to contribute to the dynamic economic and community activity happening in Detroit.”
More than 100 employees will work out of the 29,178 square-foot space when the company officially moves into the office in the spring of 2018. The office will house the company’s media sales and technical support staff which currently works in Birmingham.
The office will be located at 52 E. Henry St. in Detroit.
