NEW YORK, New York — According to Forbes, Beyonce Knowles-Carter is the highest earning woman in the music business earning herself $105 million, pre-taxes. Forbes notes that her Lemonade LP, last year’s highest-selling album worldwide, was a “hit with both critics and fans,” and that her subsequent Formation World Tour “grossed a quarter of a billion dollars.”

Others who joined Beyonce on this years list are Adele (#2), Taylor Swift (#3), Celine Dion (#4), and Jennifer Lopez (#5).
Forbes calculates their estimated winnings from June 1, 2016 through June 1, 2017 without taking out fees “charged by agents, managers and lawyers. We gathered data from Nielsen SoundScan, Pollstar, the RIAA and interviews with industry insiders.”
