NEW YORK, New York — The New York Yankees are re-signing starting pitcher CC Sabathia to a one-year, $10 million deal.
Sabathia had an excellent 2017, finishing 14-5 with a 3.69 ERA. He started the Yankees’ Game 5 ALDS win in Cleveland and the Game 7 ALCS loss in Houston.
The 37-year-old Sabathia said after the season that his first choice was to remain with the Yankees. Sabathia and his family have lived in New Jersey since he joined the Yankees and led them to a championship in 2009.
