LOS ANGELES,California — Matt Ryan went 21/30 for 218 yards and 1 touchdown as the defending NFC champion Falcons advanced from the wild-card round with a 26-13 victory over the LA Rams on Saturday night.
Ryan connected with Julio Jones for an 8-yard touchdown with 5:48 to play to seal the win for the Falcons in front of 74,300 fans at the Coliseum. Jones caught nine passes for 94 yards foe the Falcons who advanced to face the top-seeded Eagles on Jan. 13 in Philadelphia. The Falcons used an early 13-0 lead to fend off the Rams.

The Falcons’ defense managed to hold the NFL’s highest-scoring offense, to just 13 points. LA Rams quarterback Jared Goff went 24-for-45 for 259 yards and I touchdown in his playoff debut.
Robert Woods caught nine passes for 142 yards for the NFC West champion Rams (11-6). Todd Gurley mustered up 101 yards rushing yards and just four receptions for a 10 yards.
