ATLANTA, Georgia — Dennis Schroder tallied up 26 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds as the Atlanta Hawks conjured up a 102-99 win onver teh San Antonio Spurs on Monday. Following Danny Green’s 3-pointer with 31 seconds left that cut the Hawks lead to one, Schroder answered by hitting a layup to put Atlanta up by three with 10 seconds left.
“I’m glad we got the win, first off,” Schroder said. “I hit my shots in crunch time. Dewayne Dedmon set great screens and got me open. I just shot with confidence, so it feels great.”
The Hawks who are currently tied with the Orlando Magic for the NBA’s worst record (12-31), recevied a 20 point effort from Ersan Ilyasova. John Collins Dewayne Dedmon each had 12 points for Atlanta. The Hawks will take on New Orleans on Tuesday.
