DETROIT, Michigan — The City of Detroit announced that Jonathan Kinloch, chairman of the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party organization, has been appointed by Mayor Mike Duggan to the Detroit Board of Water Commission.
The board oversees Detroit’s Water and Sewage Department and approves all water and sewer rates.
Kinloch will be replacing Pamela Rodgers, whose decision not to seek re-appointment left an open seat.
Kinloch currently is chairman of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers and sits on both the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority and Wayne County Economic Development Corporation boards.
Kinloch, a lifelong Detroiter, is president of The Kinloch Group, Inc.— an entertainment media company.
Other Duggan appointees on the Detroit Board of Water Commissioners include Chairman Michael Einheuser, Vice Chair Mary Blackmon, Lane Coleman, John Henry Davis, Linda Forte and Jane Garcia.
