COLUMBUS, Ohio — Dr. D’Andra Mull, Assistant Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students at Ohio State University, was honored at the Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 Celebration.
Columbus Business First has recognized 40 local individuals under age 40 each year since 1993. They’re up-and-comers making an impact in the professional world and giving back to their communities.
“In addition to her academic accomplishments, Dr. Mull has had one of the fastest and most impressive leadership trajectories at Ohio State, becoming the youngest person ever to be named an assistant vice president in Student Life and the first African American to hold the title of dean of students at the Ohio State University. She serves on several university-wide committees, including Ohio State’s Retention and Success committee. At the national level, she represents Ohio State on the American Talent Initiative, which is a collation of 86 schools including institutions such as Harvard and Yale. These universities are working to increase underserved students’ access and retention to college. … I could write a book chapter on Dr. Mull’s service to the university and OSU community had I the space; but I can assure you that her achievements represent most people’s lifetime of work.” – Bowen Marshall, associate director, Office of Student Life, Ohio State University
