MOSCOW, Russia — For the first time since 1994, Sweden reaches the quarter-finals of the World Cup after defeating Switzerland 1-0 behind a goal from Emil Forsberg.
Forsberg is the first Swede to score in the World Cup knockout rounds since Henrik Larsson against Senegal in 2002. His goal came in the 66th minute of the match.
Sweden awaits the winner between Colombia and England for their quarter-finals match-up.
