DETROIT, Michigan — Google opened the doors on a brand new satellite office at Litte Ceasars Arena in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The global tech firm, will be using the new space for sales and advertisements.
“We work with GM, FCA, Ford and Quicken Loans out of this office,” said Google’s Danielle Russell.
Eric Yuhasz, a facility manager with Google, led a tour Thursday morning for special invited guests to get a glimpse of their new office space.
Google, paid homage to the Motor City by decorating its walls with old postcards from Detroit and Belle Isle, as well as old emblems representing the auto industry.
The new space includes a cafeteria with free food for the 100 employees, a massage room, a fitness center, great views of the city and a patio — all inside Little Caesars Arena.
It also provides tons of unconventional workspace for employees to feel more at ease while working.
Google also announced that it is giving $1 million to local programs to help fund STEM education.
