BRAZIL, South America — Brazil officially has a new President as Army captain and right-wing populist, Jair Bolsonaro, was sworn in as Brazil’s president on Tuesday.
The 63-year-old, Bolsonaro, took the oath of office at 3:10 pm local time at a ceremony held at the National Congress building in the capital Brasilia along with his vice president, retired general Hamilton Mourao.
Bolsonaro, won the October election with 55 percent of the votes.
