LOS ANGELES, California — Kyle Kuzma scored a career-high 41 points in three quarters, giving the Los Angeles Lakers (23-19) a 113-100 win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night at the Staples Center.
“Our team has shown a lot of growth from the post-LeBron injury,” Lakers coach Luke Walton said.
The Lakers improved to 3-5 since Lebron James (groin) injury. Michael Beasley added 19 points (15 in the fourth) on his 30th birthday.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Brandon Ingram and JaVale McGee added 10 each. Lonzo Ball dished out 11 assists.

Detroit’s Blake Griffin had 16. Reggie Jackson added 15 points and Reggie Bullock 13 for the Pistons (17-22).
Andre Drummond pulled down 17 rebounds.
