OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — The OKC Thunder received a boost from its bench as Dennis Schroder scored all of his 19 points in the second half to help them beat the San Antonio Spurs 122-112 on Saturday night.
“Schroder just sliced us and diced us, did a great job getting to the rim, scoring,” said Gregg Popovich. “Defense let us down a little bit.”
Russell Westbrook had 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, while Paul George added 18 points and 11 rebounds for Oklahoma City.
The Thunder (26-16) bounced back from a 154-147 double-overtime loss to the Spurs on Thursday.
Oklahoma City’s reserves scored 48 points, to go along with seven players scoring in double figures.
The Spurs: Host the Charlotte Hornets on Monday.
Oklahoma City Thunder will visit the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.

Marco Belinelli scored 24 points and DeMar DeRozan added 18 points for the Spurs (25-19). LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 17.
The Spurs will play host to the Charlotte Hornets on Monday.
