LOS ANGELES, California — DeMarcus Cousins scored 14 points in his debut with the Golden State Warriors who captured a 112-94 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center on Friday night.
“I felt like a kid on Christmas,” Cousins said. “This was probably one of the best days of my life being back on the floor playing the game that I love.”
The victory was the seventh straight for the Warriors (32-14).
“He looked good. He looked strong and quick,” Golden State coach Steve Kerr said. “I was really impressed.”
Cousins also pulled down 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in just fifteen minutes of action. He connected on 3-of-his-4 three-point attempts.

Steph Curry led the Warriors with 28 points, while Kevin Durant added 24 points to surpass Clyde Drexler (22,195) for 31st place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Tobias Harris led the Clippers with 28 points. Rookie guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tied his career high with 24.
The Warriors will take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.
The Clippers travel to San Antonio to take on the Spurs on Sunday.
