DETROIT, Michigan — The Detroit Pistons Andre Drummond scored 14 of his season-high 27 points (12 rebounds, 3 blocks) in the third period to help snap the Denver Nuggets six-game winning streak on Monday night.
“Tonight our bench was huge,” Pistons coach Dwane Casey said. “If we get that from them every night, we’re not sitting here out of the playoff race. We’re in the middle of the pack somewhere.”
However, Detroit’s reserves provided a spark, outscoring the Nuggets bench 60-28.
Stanley Johnson scored 21 points and 7 rebounds off the bench, while Langston Galloway added 18 for the Pistons. Luke Kennard finished with 14.
Blake Griffin added 17 points for Detroit, and Reggie Jackson scored 14.
