MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — The Duke Blue Devils along with fellow ACC teams Virginia and North Carolina, and Mid Major powerhouse Gonzaga each earned No.1 seeds by the NCAA selection committee for this year’s NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
Receiving No. 2 seeds were Tennessee, Michigan State, Kentucky and Michigan.
The No. 3 seeds are LSU, Purdue, Houston and Texas Tech, while Virginia Tech, Kansas State, Kansas and Florida State were seeded at No. 4.
Mid American Conference Tournament Champion, Buffalo Bulls earned the highest seed for the conference ever since the field expanded to 64 teams with a No 6 seed.
Buffalo will face the winner of the Arizona State and St. John’s game in Dayton.
