OAKLAND, California — Steph Curry exploded for 36 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds — including nine 3-pointers to lead the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors over the Portland Trail Blazers 116-94 on Tuesday night in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals.
“The schedule favored us but I thought we took advantage of the situation and got off to a good start,” Kerr said.
Klay Thompson had 26 points, while Draymond Green finishing with 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals.
Jonas Jerebko scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists in 15 minutes of action off the bench. The Warriors outscored the Trail Blazers 39-23 in fourth quarter points as team.
