BEAVERTON, Oregon — The Jordan Brand welcomed New York Liberty stars Guards Asia Durr and Kia Nurse, as new members of the Jordan Brand family.
Asia Durr and Kia Nurse became teammates in April when the New York Liberty selected Durr 2nd overall in WNBA Draft presented by State Farm. Nurse, a second-year player on the Liberty, was amongst the first people to congratulate her and welcome her to the league.
One of the most talented scorers in college basketball, Durr netted 47 points in her final career home game, setting a program record. She also scored a record 11 3-pointers in the game.
Selected 10th overall in the 2018 WNBA draft, Nurse punctuated her rookie campaign by scoring 34 points – the highest mark from a rookie last season – in an overtime victory against the Indiana Fever.
