DETROIT, Michigan — The Detroit Pistons hosted its inagural 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, which kicked off on Saturday morning with a ceremonial “Dribble Up” as Detroit youth joined local dignitaries and the Pistons entertainment teams to dribble down Henry Street to Little Caesars Arena.
Spectators were then invited to the grandstands to watch as Detroit youth participated in a Pistons Academy Clinic, followed by Pistons main stage live music and entertainment, and a full day of 3-on-3 basketball.
Over 1,000 registered participants across around 250 teams participated, with more than 30 divisions, including a wheelchair and special needs division, and teams ages eight and above.
The tournaments championship game took place on the Pistons’ home court inside Little Caesars Arena.
