MANHATTAN, New York — Roc Nation and the National Football Association announced a partnership on Tuesday afternoon.
As part of the deal, Jay-Z’s entertainment company will become the NFL’s “live music entertainment strategist.”
The partnership will see Roc Nation assist in the league’s key events like the Super Bowl halftime show, while also creating podcasts, visual albums, and organizing separate events and concerts.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell championed Jay-Z’s ability to connect with younger fans that the league needs to both secure its future audience and make a broader cultural impact.
“There’s really no one quite like him,” Goodell said. “When we talked about doing something together, the one thing that really stood out is both of us wanted to have an impact.”
