WASHINGTON D.C. — The Federal Communications Commission voted along party lines, 3-2, on Wednesday to approve a merger between two of the nation’s largest wireless carriers, saying the deal will “enhance competition” and hasten 5G deployment.
The DOJ approved the merger with conditions, including that the companies from Sprint’s prepaid businesses such as Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
