ORLANDO, Florida — The Miami Heat claimed Game 1 in the Eastern Conference finals with an 117-113 overtime win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night. Bam Adebayo sealed the Heat’s victory with a big block on a late dunk attempt by Celtics’ Jayson Tatum ( 30 points).
“Made a hell of a block,” Adebayo said. “That doesn’t dictate the series, though. We’re only up 1-0.”
Goran Dragic led the way for the Heat with 29 points, while Jae Crowder finished with 22 points and Jimmy Butler 20. Miami is currently 9-1 in the playoffs.
