ORLANDO Florida — The Denver Nuggets and head coach Mike Malone became the first team in NBA history to ever come back twice in one postseason from a 3-1 series deficit, defeating the Los Angeles Clippers 104-89 on Tuesday night. Denver, who beat Utah in Game 7 in the first round, move on to their first Western Conference finals appearance since 2009.
Jamal Murray put on another spectacular performance, scoring 40 points on 15-of-26 shooting in 45 minutes.
Nikola Jokic joined Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rando as the only players to record two game Game 7 triple-doubles. Jokic finished with 16 points, 22 rebounds, and 13 assists.
The Nuggets will take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference finals
