SCOTTS VALLEY, California — A documentary about Kanye West is expected to make its way to streaming tech firm Netflix later this year. Several reports have been made that Netflix has acquired the rights to air it for more than $30 million.
According to Complex, the project will feature never-before-seen footage of West and his interactions over the course of 21 years. Directors Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah, known collectively as Coodie and Chike have been filming and keeping the material over the years. They co-directed Ye’s 2003 “Through the Wire” video and the third version of “Jesus Walks.”
The documentary will be focusing on Kany West rise throughout his career and will feature the highs and lows, both personal and professional. From the early days of his career up until his recent Presidential bid.
