“I feel good about where we are right now,”  Detroit Lions GM Martin Mayhew said about where the Detroit Lions franchise is right now.

Detroit Lions GM Martin Mayhew stated that the organization has finished the vast majority of their draft preparation for the 2013 NFL draft. Greivis Vasquez Scored 25 Points; New Orleans Hornets Defeat The Detroit Pistons 105 – 100

The Detroit Pistons led the New Orleans Hornets by two(49-47) points to end the 2nd quarter and Greg Monroe had 16 points at the half.

Greivis Vasquez came up big for the Hornets, scoring 13 points in the fourth quarter. Greivis Vasquez made a layup on Jose Calderon with 5 seconds remaining on the shot clock, to give the New Orleans Hornets a 98-95 lead with 12.1 remaining in the 4th.

Shooting guard Rodney Stuckey missed the game tying 3 point basket for the Detroit Pistons. Aminu made to free throws with 2.2 seconds remaining in the game, to give the Horets a 105-100 victory.

Point guard Greivis Vasquez scored 25 points and dished 9 assists. Eric Gordon added 21 points and Ryan Anderson contributed 19 points and 13 rebounds for the New Orleans Hornets.

Greg Monroe scored 27 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Knight added 22 points for the Detroit Pistons.

Jonas Jerebko played 9 minutes and finished with 2 points along with 3 rebounds. Jeffrey Taylor played 6 minutes and contributed 3 points during their 3rd NBA battle.

“We got a good win on road” and “I just tried to make great decisions,” Greg Monroe said as he contributed ten of the Detroit Pistons final fifthteen 4th quarter points.

Kemba Walker scored 24 points and 3 assists. Ramon Sessions scored 18 points and 8 assists for the Charlotte Bobcats.

Brandon Knight scored 21 points and 5 assists. Greg Monroe scored 19 points, 7 rebounds along with 7 assists. Jose added 19 points and Rodney Stuckey contributed 12 points for Detroit.

Shooting guard Rodney Stuckey made two free throws with 1.6 remaining in the fourth quarter to give Detroit a 105-100 lead, after a Mike Dunleavy Jr. foul.

The Detroit Pistons entered Milwaukee with a little team swagger after defeating the San Antonio Spurs at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Brandon Knight and Greg Monroe combined for 50 points against the Spurs on Friday.

The Detroit Pistons led the season series 3-1 over their Division rival Milwaukee Bucks.

Jose Calderon scored 23 points along with 10 assists. Greg Monroe contributed 14 points and 13 rebounds. Charlie Villanueva had 18 points and 13 rebounds off the bench for the Detroit Pistons.

Brandon Jennings scored 26 points along with 7 assists. Ersan Ilyasova added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Samuel Dalembert contributed  14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Detroit Pistons Defeated The San Antonio Spurs 119 - 109

The San Antonio Spurs entered the Palace with the NBA’s best record(11 game winning streak), minus the services of Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili. The Pistons were without rookie Andre Drummond, who will be out 4-6 weeks with a stress fracture.

The Detroit Pistons shot 61% from the field and led the San Antonio Spurs by eight points(31-23) after the first quarter. Greg Monroe ended the first quarter with 8 points and 5 rebounds.

The Detroit Pistons led the San Antonio Spurs by thirteen points(65-52) after the second quarter. The Pistons recorded a season high 52 points in the first half. The San Antonio Spurs ended the 2nd quarter with an 8-0 run, holding the Pistons scoreless from the 1:38 mark.

The Pistons led the Spurs by seventeen points(95-78) after the third quarter and Greg Monroe ended the quarter with 23 points(13 points in Q3) and 14 rebounds. Tony Parker finished the third quarter with 23 points and 5 assists for the Spurs.

Brandon Knight scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds. Greg Monroe contributed 26 points and 16 rebounds. Charlie Villanueva had 21 points and 8 rebounds off the bench for the Detroit Pistons.

Tony Parker finished with 31 points for the San Antonio Spurs.

Brook Lopez paced the Brooklyn Nets to a 93-90 victory over the Detroit Pistons by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Joe Johnson added 16 points of his own for the Nets who are now 29-20 overall. Deron Williams had 12 points and nine assists for the Nets, surpassing the 5,000-assist mark for his career.

The Nets are 14-4 under coach  P.J. Carlesimo since taking over for Avery Johnson.

Detroit was led by Greg Monroe’s 23 point and 10 rebound night. The Pistons fall to 18-32. Jonas Jerebko added 6 points and 3 rebounds in 19 minutes.

Rockets Record Night

The Houston Rockets tied an NBA record by hitting 23 three pointers in a game versus the Golden State Warriors.

Former Kentucky Wildcats standout Brandon Knight poured in a game high of 20 points and 10 assists and 6 rebounds to help the Detroit Pistons to a 117-99 victory over the Cleveland Cavs. Kyle Singler  chipped with a career night ( 20 points) and Greg Monroe 18 points and 16 rebounds. Detroit improved to 18-29.

Tristan Thompson led the Cavs with 19 points. Kyrie Irving finished with 14. The Cavs are now 13-34.

Sweden’s Jonas Jerebko finished with 2 points in 6 minutes.

The Detroit Pistons have added another victory to their win column after defeating the Portland Trailblazers 108-101 at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Monday night. The Pistons dropped one the night before in New York on Sunday to the Knicks( and looked to have learned a lesson from it.

Brandon McKnight led Detroit with 26 points and 6 rebounds while Greg Monroe added 20 points and 10 boards. Kyle Singer chipped in 16 points on a near perfect night from the floor (6/7) while pulling down 10 rebounds himself.

Le Marcus Aldridge led all scores with 32 points.

Sweden’s Jonas Jerebko Did not play in last night’s victory over the Trailblazers nor Sunday’s lost to the Knicks.

Bobcats Fall To OKC

The Oklahoma Thunder shut down the connotation of the Charlotte Bobcats gaining their first victory against them with a 45 point(114-69) victory in Monday night’s matchup.

Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 18 points 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Jeffrey Taylor led the Bobcats with 10 points as they finished  with 1-1 record over the weekend with a overtime win against the Wizards.
