Robert Glasper Experiment Back to Stockholm’s Fasching
“Real music is crash-protected,” it is written in its case to the new Blue Note album, Black Radio, an album that is predicted to be a milestone in jazz history. Robert Glasper Experiment takes a bold step into new grounds and transcends all notions of genres as they move across jazz, hop hop, r & b, electronica and rock without getting stuck somewhere along the way. Like the aircraft’s “black box” houses the Black Radio the truth and is imperishable. Yes, so bold, they are in its opinion, and we’re probably willing to admit after a pre-listening of the album.
Robert Glasper have you heard along with Terence Blanchard, Maxwell, Norah Jones and Kanye West, to name a few in addition to the eminent guests of the last album where you hear Erykah Badu, Bilal, Lupe Fiasco, Lalah Hathaway, Shafiq Husayn (Sa-Ra) , Kingston, Ledisi, Chrisette Michele, Musiq Soulchild, Meshell Ndegeocello, Stokley Williams (Mint Condition), and yasiin bey (Mos Def).
Not only we had the honor to present the Robert Glasper Experiment at Stockholm Jazz Festival in 2011 and that same year at Fasching. The ever-evolving group always has something more to tell and we will hear this evening. It is simply an epic evening.
