Energized Michigan Democrats ‘Endorse’ Candidates For 2012 November Election
DETROIT — The 2012 Democratic Convention was better than advertised! While Saturday’s endorsements are non-binding, Michigan Democrats and Union Leader’s were energized Saturday at Cobo Center. Preparing for the 2012 November elections and all excited to endorse their slate of candidates for the Michigan Supreme Court(3 women), state Board of Education and university governing board’s.
The University of Michigan Board of Regents, Grosse Pointe Board Certified Dermatologist Dr. Shauna Ryder Diggs received the loudest cheer’s of the day.(Below, The Dr. Shauna Ryder Diggs Interview)
Among the three women Michigan Supreme Court nominees were, Wayne County Circuit Judge Connie Kelley, Oakland County District Judge Shelia Johnson and Bridget McCormack of the University of Michigan Law School’s Innocence Project.
U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, who’s seeking a third 6-year term, was not present at the 2012 Democratic Convention. Both President Barack Obama and U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow will be on the 2012 November Michigan Democratic ballot.
“Our middle-class families have been challenged like never before,” Stabenow said in a video urging Democrats to ready for the fall election battle. “The middle class in this country has sacrificed enough.”
The party will officially nominate their favorites at the Democratic Nominating Convention September 7th-9th 2012!
