Dolphins Bounce Back: Series 2-1
NORRKOPING–
With 2698 spectators in attendance at Stadium Arena, The Dolphins used every once of energy to give the city of Norrkoping something to look forward to as they went on to go ahead in the series 2-1 with a 80-71 victory over the Kings tonight.
Home court has been the underlining factor in the series as both teams have remained undefeated at home over the course of the playoff series.
It was the aggressive style of play that propelled the Dolphins past the Kings tonight.
“I think we were more aggressive and I think you can really see it in the amount of free throws. We shot alot more free throws than them because we were more aggressive attacking says Coach Paul Burke.
The Dolphins were led by Andrew Mitchell’s 30 point night( cleared from possible suspension) as well as huge performances from Anton Saks(Swedish National team) and team captain Fred Drains who provided a spark off the bench with two three pointers(one of them was a four point play) and an amazing block in the second half.
“This is the best time you know. Playing in the finals and going out there and making shots like that and helping your teammates out,” says team captain Fred Drains to NT.
Södertälje was led by Johnell Smith’s 21 point effort with three other King’s players in double figures(Mantas Griskenas 12, Kenneth Simms, 12, Dino Pita 10,)
The next match is Tuesday night in Södertälje and look for the Dolphins to try and steal a game on the road.
