Frank McComb@Fasching Jazz Club
STOCKHOLM–
This past weekend Jazz musician Frank McComb returned to a oh so familiar place that has embraced his musical prowess as he took the stage in Stockholm to perform at Fasching Jazz Club along with Magnus “Woodstock”Perrson(Percussion),Robert Ikiz(Drums)and Tobias Gabrielson on the bass.
In the world of music, collaborations can be a hit or miss and it was evident that the chemistry between each musician was extremely vital and worked out perfect.
McComb opened the night with one of hit songs entitled “Cupids Arrow” featured on his sophomore album and kept the crowd entrapped in the very relaxed and welcoming environment at Fasching Jazz Club.
He would go on to perform several of his other hit songs from albums such as The 1995 Bootleg,Love Stories and Straight From The Vault to name a few. A very intimate moment of the night, was McComb sharing a song that he wrote while his wife was pregnant with their first child titled “Intimate Time” made you feel apart of his life journey and it connected very well.
Frank would also introduce a hidden gem from Sweden’s backyard to perform Luther Vandross classic song “The Closer I Get To” in Graciela and she put on a remarkable performance.
Big time solo’s from each member of the band made this night all worth while and a definite recommendation for Jazz lover’s.To stay in touch with Frank McComb and his career you can visit him on his home page(link listed below).
