Detroit Citizens Support Krystal Crittendon And Her Effort To Block Consent Agreement

DETROIT - While thing’s are heading up politically beteween President Barrack Obama and his opponent Mitt Romney on a national level. There is allot going on politcally in Detroit, Michigan that stems from a consent agreement designed to fix the city’s finances from Michigan Republican Gov. Rick Synder.

The head of the Detroit Law Department Krystal Crittendon is continuing her effort to block the consent agreement.

The Detroit Free Press and The Detroit Newsreport that Krystal Crittendon indicated Thursday that she planned to move forward with the legal battle.

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing has addressed the Detroit City Council and wants to fire Crittendon after she sued the state of Michigan to stop the critical financial deal, because she has independent authority under Detroit’s recently revised charter or constitution.

A judge dismissed the case last month. However, Crittendon wants the judge to reconsider.

Detroit is at risk of losing millions in revenue-sharing payments and state says the litigation is frivolous. But, most citizens of Detroit are backing Krystal Crittendon and her decision to sue the state. Most politically consider the consent agreement unconstitutional and a challenge at Detroit citizen’s constitutional and labor right’s.

Regardless of the political affiliation, most citizens understand that the consent agreement directly challenges their political rights and takes away their seat at the political round table.
