Taylor Bounces Back, Bobcats remain Unbeaten
LAS VEGAS–
The Charlotte Bobcat’s have managed to pull off some gutsy performances to remain undefeated in Summer league play as they used a late 11-2 run in the 4th quarter to beat the Denver Nuggets 99-86.
It would be the play of second year-point guard Kemba Walker and rookie Jeffrey Taylor who would lift the Bobcats in last nights victory over the Nuggets.
Walker, who continues to improve as a leader within the Bobcats organization and under Coach Mike Dunlap’s system, finished with a team high of 19 points and 10 assists. He is also leading the Summer league in assists at 7.3 per game.
Rookie Jeffrey Taylor, after finishing with only two points against Minnesota on Tuesday, responded with 16 points and seven rebounds. The Bobcats had four others in the double figure category as well. Carlon Brown (15), Othello Hunter (14), Bismack Biyombo (12) and Cory Higgins (12)
They remain the only undefeated team outside of the Golden State Warriors in the Las Vegas Summer league.
The Nuggets were led by Jordan Hamilton who just missed a double-double for Denver with a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds.
The Bobcats will close their Summer League action against the Memphis Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. (EST) on Friday at the Thomas and Mack Center.
