[RECAP] Robin Thicke, Musiq Soulchild & Melanie Fiona, Hosted By Frankie Darcell @ChenePark

DETROIT - Woodlawn Post enjoyed the sounds and entertainment provided by host Frankie Darcell and artist’s Robin Thicke, Musiq Soulchild, and Melanie Fiona along with special guest Christopher Williams on Friday August 17th on the Detroit Riverfront at the World’s Fifth Best  AmphitheaterChene Park Amphitheater.

The night kicked off with prominent radio personality Frankie Darcell announcing several lucky fans would get a chance to meet Robin Thicke after the concert!

Frankie Darcell, introduced the talented Grammy Award Winning Singer and Songwriter Melanie Fiona @MelanieFiona who recently released her new album THE MF LIFE. The powerful vocalist wasted no time showering the Detroit crowd with her award winning voice as she sung “Watch Me Work“, “Runnin“, “L.O.V.E“, “The Wrong Side Of Love“, “It Kills Me”, “4 am” and “Do Better.” All to an warm crowd at the Chene Park Amphitheater. The accomplished Melanie Fiona showed the Chene Park crowd how a great R & B female vocalist’s perform’s, as she sung hit song after hit song.

 

 

The talented Philadelphia singer Musiq Soulchild @MusiqSoulchild has been described as soulful singer with a golden voice and he received an honorable ovation when he took the stage! Musiq Soulchild  gave the crowd a balance of soulful music and brilliance from his talented band. He blessed his Detroit fans with anthems such as “The Reason“, “Until, “Don’t Change“, “Just Friends“, “Ridiculous“, “Yes“, “Love“, “So Beautiful“, “Half Crazy“, “Teach Me” and “Buddy.”

The headline singer for the night was Robin Thicke @robinthicke who has written and produced songs on over 20 gold and platinum albums including Michael Jackson, Marc Anthony, Pink, Christina Aguilera and others. Robin Thicke’s fifth studio album, Love After War is currently in stores!

When the talented Singer and Songwriter took the stage, he gave the females in the crowd a wonderful experience as the soulful singer sung hip hop, classic renditions along with some of his most popular anthems such as “An Angel On Each Arm“, “Magic, “Cocaine“, “Pritty Lil Heat“, “I Need Love“, “Can You Believe“, “Dream World“, “Teach You A Lesson“, “Shooter“, “Every Thing Gonna Be Alright”, “Let’s Stay Together” and “N***s In Paris.”

Overall, the concert was great, host Frankie Darcell and artist’s Robin Thicke, Musiq Soulchild, and Melanie Fiona along with special guest Christopher Williams all performed well on Friday August 17th to a packed Detroit audience at Chene Park Amphitheater.

Again, The staffsecurityengineers and performer’s all collaborated to create an incredible environment for music fans and media alike to enjoy several insipiring performances at the popular Chene Park amphitheater.

For those interested in attending, Chene Park amphitheater @Chenepark is located along the banks of the Detroit river, just east of the General Motors world headquarters in Detroit, Michigan. Located at the foot of Chene Street, just east of Tri-Centennial State Park and Harbor, it is a 6,000-seat amphitheater where concerts are regularly scheduled every summer. Jazz, Classic Soul, Rhythm and Blues, R & B, HIP HOP, Gospel and more!
